Enhanced Monochrome Publisher 156
The EMP 156 is an efficient cut-sheet production printer with
fast paper-handling technology and it can easily produce
4.5 million images per month. This high duty cycle ensures
print providers that they can deliver the required throughput
on schedule. A Multiple Original Printing feature provides
multiple set printing at engine speed. A 14.2-inch wide paper
path accommodates printing on legal size documents also at
full engine speed. The vacuum-fed input trays of the EMP
156 support a wide variety of media up to 14.2-inches wide
by 18-inches long. Additionally, container stackers supply
precision-stacked output ready for near-line finishing devices
that are used to produce booklets and other finished documents.
Adding high capacity feeders and container stackers provide
up to six input bins with an input capacity of 15,500 sheets
and up to five output locations with an output capacity
of 8,100 sheets. A universal paper feeder accommodates
paper sizes ranging from 8-inches wide by 7.9-inches long
up to 14.2-inches wide by 18-inches long. Standard features
of the printer controller include PCL5e / XL and Adobe® PostScript® 3TM,
direct PDF and TIFF printing, and RPSA’s patented
Virtual Printer Technology (VPT®).

Digital Document Publisher 184
The Digital Document Publisher 184 from Ricoh Printing Systems America (Ricoh) combines two 92 page per minute (ppm) printer engines that print black at a blazing 184 images per minute (ipm) in duplex mode. You can replace black toner in the second engine with color toner for spot color applications. A MICR version of the DDP 184 is also available from Rosetta Technologies that supports magnetic toner and developer in the first engine. This expands your printing flexibility by combining MICR and spot color – a unique feature of the RT 184.
The DDP 184 improves upon a two-printer cluster from the functional point of view. It has an integrated second engine used exclusively for printing the second image for fast duplex speed in monochrome, spot color or MICR. The input paper trays are located in the first engine and the DDP 184 operates as one functional engine. This system uses less floor space than other production engines in the same class.

Digital Document Publisher
70e
The DDP 70e is a very reliable print engine from RPSA that delivers performance and reliability with an easy-to-use
interface and professional, publishing-quality finishing.
It features an engine that supports peak printing volumes
up to 600,000 pages per month.
This new variant of the DDP 70 engine with the designator
“e” adds an enhanced printer controller and enhanced
print quality to the already powerful 70 ppm production printer.
Better print quality is achieved with improvements in laser
dot size consistency and enhanced photographic efficiency.
A new optical unit enhances print quality by stabilizing the
laser dot size. The range of laser dot size fluctuation has
been reduced to 25% of the previous fluctuation range. This
increased control sharpens the image significantly. And an
improved developer unit provides higher quality prints by
increasing photographic efficiency. This is accomplished by
a 20% reduction in the carrier particle size.
